Episode 6, Really Big Guy                    writer –?

-         Quark Headquarters, where Dr Slate and BG contemplate Gilder’s remains, specifically his head.

BG: If we can only peek inside his twisted mind.

-         Slate thinks she can – by using a RAM link, she can get access to his V-900 chip, which stores visual data.  In the middle of the process, though, the head comes alive.

Gilder: Dr. Slate, don’t you know tampering with lethal technology can be hazardous to your health?

Rusty: Oh, yeah? Whatcha gonna do, Mr. Jabber Jaws?  Spit on us?

-         Gilder said he doesn’t need hands to defeat them; the Legion’s security device should kick in momentarily.  And suddenly his eyes flash a countdown.

-         BG orders Rusty to get the head outside of Quark.  Rusty speeds out through the ventilation ducts.

Gilder: See you in the scrap yard, Rusty.

Rusty hurls the head away before it explodes, though.

-         Triumphant, Rusty returns to Slate and BG, who are intently seeing if they recovered any data.

Rusty: I did it! I saved us from the bomb, didn’t I? (gets ignored)  How about ‘way to go, Rusty!’ or ‘good job, Rusty!’

-         Slate manages to get some of Gilder’s video feed up and running.

BG: Get ready for some wholesome family viewing.

Rusty (seeing Legion members for first time):  Whoa, twins!  Lots of them!

The video feed captures a conversation between Gilder and the Legion about Project A-12000, Parcel 214 of which is being moved in the T-90 subtunnels of New Tronic City, where electricity utility tunnels were before the transition to microfusion technology, and have been long abandoned.

BG: I doubt they’re building a parade float.

-         BG and Rusty explore the subtunnels, and run into a rampaging transport freight with robot drones.  They quickly become occupied fighting the drones

BG: Kid, disable the transport from the front.

Rusty: What?

BG: The track, son, take out the track!

Rusty: Oh! (flies in front)  Here’s my Missoula meltdown (uses finger blaster to melt track, stopping the transport)

BG: Come on Sparky, we’ve got a job to do.

Rusty:  Sheesh, I bet other sidekicks get a pat on the power pack.

BG: Time to crack this bogey open and see what’s inside.

-         With help from, the pit crew in the Legend, BG is able to have the Parcel raised, and discern that it looks like a hand.  The Legion, also watching, is annoyed they have been found out, but decide to proceed with A-12000 anyway, as it is essentially completed and will likely not need the 500 Megawatt Vortex Cannon.  An enormous behemoth suddenly emerges.

Mack: We’re gonna need a bigger Big Guy.

-         The Legion has just unleashed a new robot, easily larger in size than the BG.

Rusty: It’s Argo!

BG: Looks like Argo had a growth spurt. (A-12000 heads off)  The Big Bopper’s city-bound.

Garth: What do we do?

Mack:  Fly the other way ‘till we run out of gas.

-          BG attempts to engage the enemy with some ‘Candygrams’, which are ineffective.

Dwayne: Gotta feed Jumbo something more than peanuts.

-         The A-12000 continues its way toward the city, crushing bridges and buildings as it passes.  BG attempts to save people, with Rusty trying not so successfully to help.  Dr. Slate is watching the proceedings on TV at Quark.

Donovan (coming in): Slate, this is not a screening room!

Slate: Dr. Donovan, this isn’t a movie.

Jenny (looking at screen): Say, isn’t that where we live?

They look out the window and see Argo bearing down on Quark headquarters.

Jenny:  We’re dirt.

-         But the A-12000 keeps going.  This confuses Slate and the BG team, as they figured the Legion was after Quark. Dwayne deduces that most of the damage it has caused is because it’s on its way somewhere.

Dwayne:  Size 200 feet; it’s not exactly a ballerina.

-          Slate figures from the path that it’s headed to New Tronic Park, which houses the microfusion generator that powers the city.  BG tries to stop A-12000 from taking the generator and fails.  And Rusty decides to take a stand.

Rusty: I’ll show Big Guy I’m a hero once and for all.  I’ll knock this bully on his duff, and then Big Guy will way ‘Good job, Rusty’. (makes a hypersonic run at the robot)

BG: Rusty, abort!

Mack:  What the heck is that, Superfly?!

He makes an impact in A-12000 enough for it to pause for a second, then keep moving.

-         Donovan, Slate, and Jenny are still watching the proceedings at Quark on TV.

Donovan: Well, that was exhilarating.

Jenny:  Good job, Rusty.

Slate: Rusty… (contacts BG) Dwayne… is Rusty…?

Dwayne: A hero.

-         Even Rusty thinks he’s passed on.

Rusty:  Oh, no! I must have died and went to the robot scrapyard.

He then deduces that he actually punched a hole in the robot’s armor and ended up inside the A-12000; he tries to escape, but the internal repair system patches up the hole, and then proceeds to attack Rusty.

Rusty:  Sheesh, being inside Argo is more dangerous than being outside.

-         Back on the Legend, the pit crew doesn’t have much info for Dwayne, only that if they don’t stop it, the A-12000 will escape by sea and that the robot hand has that energy cannon

Garth (groaning): This is my worst nightmare...

Mack: The next time you have a dream about a giant, nuke-proof ‘bot, wake up!

Then it occurs to them they could down the A-12000 with its own weapon.  All they need is the firing mechanism in its arm. However, the Legend is attacked and BG grabbed by Argo while attempting to release the mechanism.

Garth: We got a snafu!

-         Rusty, meanwhile is still trying to find a way out of the robot.

Rusty:  If Argo’s built anything like me, all its holes are in its head!

-         Looking out through Argo’s ‘eye’, Rusty sees the BG in trouble and manages to get his attention.  Then he attacks the A-12000 from the inside, causing it to release the BG.  The Legend, meanwhile, was able to pull itself out of a tailspin but was forced to land.

BG:  Listen closely, sport, I need you to bring me a souvenir; it’s in his left arm.

Rusty attempts to disable the arm, but the A-12000’s repair systems attack Rusty.

Rusty: Big Guy’s counting on me. (begins breaking free)

-         Meanwhile, the pit crew has the hand set up near the shore, still waiting for Rusty to show.

Mack: You sure Sparky didn’t go splat?

Jo: I don’t see him.

Dwayne: Stand by; the kid’s got it covered, I hope…

Rusty is able to zap enough conduits in the A-12000 to detach the entire arm.

Mack: He’s giving us the whole enchilada.

BG: Don’t mind me, Captain Hook – this won’t hurt a bit. (retrieves arm)

-         The pit crew warns Dwayne that if Rusty doesn’t get out of Argo before it reaches the shore, they’ll have to destroy it with him inside.

Slate: Please, Rusty… get out of there…

-         Meanwhile, Rusty is struggling to break free, and succeeds at the last possible second.  Argo is felled by his own hand cannon, and all is well, except Rusty can’t find BG anywhere.

Rusty: He never waits up for me…

BG (appears from under sand mound): Rusty… good job, son.  I may have to add a few of those classic Rusty moves to my repertoire.

Rusty: No way!

BG: You outdid yourself, tiger.
